Richard Giddens Jr. & Oluwatomi (Tomi) Oyegoke-Giddens are the founders of Gidd-Well and are excited to launch an Opioid Abatement and Remediation program. Together, they have served as marriage coaches, life coaches, youth leaders, and have experience working with individuals in recovery due to drug misuse and other addictions. Rich and Tomi are equipped and ready to utilize their skills to serve the Delaware community.
Rich Giddens Jr.
Richard Giddens Jr. graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an honors college, and will be serving as the CEO and Facility Director. As the Athletic Director at Upper Room Christian School, Rich was a school administrator, serving youth ages 5-19. As a pioneer, he founded Long Island’s 1st post graduate basketball program. Student Athletes scored an average increase of 32% on the SAT and ACT which led to dozens of college scholarships. Rich also expanded the athletic department establishing the most concurrent sports teams in the school’s history. Rich founded two successful non-profit organizations, partnered with numerous charities, and has a proven history with over 25 years of community service. As the founder of Open Season Youth Corp, Rich worked with many “At Risk” youth, some struggling with drug addictions and recovery. Rich used sports, first basketball and then other sports as a drug and gang abatement tool, by providing youths a haven filled with positive activity and role models. This organization serviced over 100 youths yearly and was known to be very strong in student-athlete college placement. In partnership with the USDA, “As For Us & Our House”, is known for its community food distribution events and partnerships with numerous organizations. Rich also serves as the board treasurer of “Girl’s Set the Ground Rules” non-profit, which focuses on the growth and progression of young women and teenage girls. Rich currently serves as an advisor to the General Manager of the San Diego Padres. Rich also volunteers and serves at Living Grace Worship Cathedral in Middletown Delaware as a coordinator in Marriage Ministry and the Men’s Ministry.
Tomi Oyegoke-Giddens
Dr. Oluwatomi (Tomi) Oyegoke, PT, DPT, who will serve as the COO and a physical therapist, graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stonybrook University, NY at the top of her class. Tomi also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a Honor’s university and graduated with Honors. Since 2008, she has been on the forefront of the field of Physical Therapy specifically in all aspects of Geriatric Rehab and the adult day health programs. Tomi served as supervising and Lead Physical therapist at a Skilled Nursing Facility and Behavioral health hospital (Inpatient child, adolescent, adult substance use and addiction services) for four years prior. She was highly recruited and promoted to Director of Rehabilitation for Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies for a Skilled Nursing facility and two independent building Adult Rehab Programs in New York, which she ran for 10 years with an exemplary record and awards of excellence. Tomi upon moving to Delaware, now serves as a consultant for upcoming Directors of Rehab and Assistant directors of Rehab at the Skilled Nursing and Adult Day Health facilities. She is also a Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Delaware and New York, currently practicing in Middletown, Delaware. Tomi currently serves as a coordinator for the Health & Wellness and Marriage Ministry committees at Living Grace Worship Cathedral in Middletown Delaware.
As the Founder of As For Us & Our House Nonprofit 501(c)3, Rich focused on community outreach. During the height of Covid, food supply shortages negatively impacted individuals in underprivileged communities. Our food drives fulfilled a timely need, especially during the holiday season.
As the Director of Rehabilitation, Tomi’s department thrived. Numerous news outlets and tv talk shows recognized Tomi’s facility and department when a 99 year old patient recovered and was reunited with her family after beating Covid during the height of the pandemic. As the Athletic Director at Upper Room Christian School, Rich resurrected the Physical Education and Sports programs. Rich and the late Clyde Davis partnered, birthing the “Serving God Through Praise & Sports” basketball program, serving the entire school (K-12) and putting big smiles on the faces of our students.
As a founding board member of As For Us & Our House Nonprofit 501(c)(3), Tomi focused on empowering teenage girls. After a few sessions, acrylic painting became highly desired and the most requested activity among teen girls.
